The Government of Russia endorses a visa waiver agreement with the Commonwealth of Dominica.

The Government of Russia has announced the endorsement of a new visa waiver agreement with the Commonwealth of Dominica, as stated on the Russian cabinet’s website.

The agreement between the two nations will allow Russian and Dominican citizens to visit each other’s countries for up to three months.

“The draft agreement waives visas for holders of Russian passports valid abroad, including diplomatic and service passport, and citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica who hold diplomatic, service and regular passports, provided their stay does not exceed 90 days in any 180-day period”, an explanatory note reads.

Dominican Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit announced around three months ago that his administration was working in the negotiation of visa waiver agreements with Russia and the UAE.

While the Russian visa-waiver agreement now seems to be secured, there is still no update nor news of any visa waiver agreement being reached with the UAE, even though the Government of Dominica announced this week the opening of an embassy and a consulate in the UAE.

The Commonwealth of Dominica is the 4th country with a Citizenship by Investment Program that signs a visa waiver agreement with Russia, followed by St. Kitts & Nevis, Grenada and Vanuatu.

Dominica passport offers its holders visa-free and visa-on-arrival access to 120+ countries including essential business hubs such as the Schengen Zone, the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong. The program provides two routes of investment, Real estate or contribution to Government Fund.

Given the increase of applicants to the Commonwealth of Dominica CBI program coming from the UAE, Savory & Partners welcomes the opening of its embassy and consulate in the Emirates. At the same time, we invite investors to visit our offices in Dubai and learn more about the benefits of the Citizenship by Investment Program of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
