St. Kitts and Nevis Launches a New 'Saturn' Digital Platform to Modernize CBI Processing

The Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) of St. Kitts and Nevis has officially launched Saturn, a purpose-built digital platform designed to modernize the way citizenship applications are submitted, reviewed, and monitored.

The new system allows applicants, agents, and authorized stakeholders to track application progress in real time while shifting all communication and query management to a single digital interface.

Saturn replaces outdated manual procedures with streamlined, automated workflows, helping the CIU reduce turnaround times, tighten risk controls, and improve data consistency across the board.

The project is being rolled out in partnership with Grenada-based technology firm Sonover, which specializes in secure digital infrastructure for government services.

Key Features and Benefits of the New System

The Saturn platform introduces a suite of operational upgrades, including:

  • Live application status updates accessible to all authorized parties
  • Digital query management replacing legacy paper-based systems
  • Secure, centralized communication channels between stakeholders and the CIU
  • Audit trail visibility for better tracking and reconciliation
  • Faster processing through automation and optimized workflows
  • Multi-channel client support (including WhatsApp, phone, and email)
  • Compliance-aligned data protection, meeting standards such as GDPR

The CIU confirms that Saturn will reduce human intervention, minimize delays, and allow greater visibility into the application process, both for internal administrators and external users.

Full System Digitisation Introduced for Citizenship Processing

According to Calvin St. Juste, Executive Chairman of the CIU Board of Governors, Saturn reflects more than a technical upgrade, it’s a strategic shift in how St. Kitts and Nevis intends to manage its citizenship programme going forward.

He described the platform as a way to improve “efficiency, security, and client experience” while aligning with international expectations for due diligence and transparency.

Developer Chad Fraser, Founder of Sonover, emphasized the broader impact of the rollout, saying the platform will benefit all stakeholders across the investment migration industry, from due diligence providers to marketing agents.

With this launch, St. Kitts and Nevis reinforces its commitment to continuous improvement and positions itself as one of the first countries in the Caribbean region to implement a fully integrated digital infrastructure for citizenship applications.

The platform will support the CIU’s efforts to remain agile in a changing global environment and ensure the long-term credibility and adaptability of its Citizenship by Investment Programme.
